Abstract

The present study entitled “Designing and Creation of Bed Room Linens Inspired from Warli Motifs by Using Tie and Dye with Screen Printing” involves the documentation of Warli motifs from different sources and modifying them artistically for creation of designs for bed room linens. Total 10 designs were created. Designs were created with the help of computer software (Corel draw 12 and Photoshop 7.0) and were judged by a panel of judges from the department of Clothing and Textiles of Government Home Science College and two most preferred designs with selected color schemes were made through the techniques of tie and dye in combination with screen printing. The samples showed excellent fastness of color to washing, dry and wet crocking and sunlight. These bed room linens showed overwhelming market acceptability.
